Look down to explore interesting content

Prasenjeet Gautam

Finally, whenever we are out to shoot, most of us try to explore the content which is visible in front of our eye level. We try to shoot wide-angle, we try to shoot a close shot of species, we try to capture those which is highly far away from us. We never notice or explore the things which are near your footstep. We never notice those content that is fallen down, which is on the road, land etc. Because we never ever cultivated the habit of LOOK DOWN to find out the interesting content.

This topic is about to look down to shoot. Let’s discuss this interesting topic.

Be strict to look down to shoot – Plan a day to shoot, finalise the photography kit and Shoot those content that is near to your feet, on the road, on the land etc. make sure you do not shift your focus from down to up. Be strict to your plan and shoot by looking down, exploring down. Once the shoot is done you may found the better content shot for your photography portfolio. see the below-posted photograph which I shot as I decided to shoot strictly.

Look down along with changing location – This exercise will not end up in one day shoot, you have to keep on changing location like monuments, parks, near sea or lake etc You need to explore more content which is generally missed by you often and missed by other too. sometime you may find an interesting top shot of creative artefact which are selling by roadside hawkers. See the below-posted image, which was shot in the market etc.

Change the zoom lens to macro lens- Must try to shoot from your macro lens rather than using a zoom lens. This will give you the opportunity to shoot from the lowest distance. One more important thing must carry less photography equipment otherwise handling them while shooting is another project. See the below-posted photograph. Found it in the small public park.

Conclusion – While looking down you may capture different shape, colour, uncommon, smallest, species, product etc. It is a good exercise to elevate your photography to a better level.

Keep experimenting! Have wonderful and Happy photography life to you all. Photographer and Blogger Prasenjeet Gautam (www.prasenjeetgautam.com) has captured the above posted all the images. Location – INDIA
