Be creative & convey better messages

Prasenjeet Gautam

Being a photographer or when we start photography, In the beginning, we look forward to having better equipment, better location, better techniques, better teachers, better, exclusive, beautiful and impressive subject etc. We had already the mindset that only a beautiful subject can be looked beautiful in the photographs or only the celebrities can be looked beautiful, dashing etc in the photographs. We spend lots of time, energy and sometimes years to find out the better subject to shoot. Due to this habit or attitude most of the photographer dilutes and never become a better and creative photographer. Here we need to change our fixed mindset.

Somebody quotes " Photography is an art to convert normal and ugly subject to beautiful subject" In my humble opinion I too agree with this quote. I wish every beginner photographer must believe in this if they are looking better future in photography.
Let's discuss a few important points to become a more creative and better photographer.

Never in a hurry - I have observed the beginner and hobbyist photographer, they are always busy capturing everything as much as they can capture today, They never believe in tomorrow because they wanted to capture everything today. Please avoid this habit. You must spend time to read or understand the subject carefully and when you are convinced with all your photography requirement then shoot. Otherwise one day you land up with your corrupt camera sensor and will bear the high amount of repairing bill of the camera sensor.

Read & understand - If you are unable to read and understand the subject then that is for sure that you are going to shoot common angle, common framing, common composition and sometimes your efforts are visible behind the shot. Every creative shot is a witness to your extra hard work and your patience. Renowned photographers take too much time to shoot any photography genres because they love to be more creative than a photocopier.

Observation - The first requirement for being a creative photographer is OBSERVATION. Your observation really helps you to create a better shot. One must keep on observing the surrounding that can help him to be a better photographer. Every artist based on his strong observation attitude. Even writers spend lots of time in writing and spend their time for observing stories.

Writing Skills - This skill requires when you are planning a shot for your client. You must understand your client requirement in details. Once you are through the subject then your writing ability will help you to write a better script to shoot the subject. A strong script always delivers better results. Believe me.

Out of the box - You must research your subject to shoot, which can lead to the out of the box creatives. It requires lots of time, energy and patience. Your out of the box thinking must lead to conveying a better message to your viewers and can hold your viewers onto your stunning photographs for a long. Always remember, one single click is enough to establish you as a better and worst photographer. Choice is yours

Conclusion - One stunning photograph is better than 1000s of worst photographs. Must spend time and energy to capture better stunning and creative photographs.
Keep experimenting! have wonderful and happy photography life to you all.
