Always! The Show Must Go ON

Prasenjeet Gautam

As a photographer, you may encounter situations where things don't go according to plan. The weather may not cooperate, your equipment may fail, or your subject may not show up. These challenges can be frustrating and discouraging, but as the saying goes, "the show must go on."

The show must go on for photographers because, in many cases, you only have one opportunity to capture the moment. If you give up or get discouraged, you may miss out on an incredible shot that you can never replicate again.

One example of when the show must go on is when shooting outdoor events. You may have planned the perfect shot with the perfect lighting, but then a storm rolls in, and you're left with dark clouds and poor lighting conditions. Instead of giving up, try to find creative ways to work with the new conditions. You could experiment with using artificial lighting or find unique angles that make the most of the weather. Another example is when your equipment fails.

This can be especially frustrating when you have a limited amount of time to capture the shot. But instead of panicking or giving up, try to improvise with what you have. For instance, if your flash fails, you could try using natural lighting or slowing down your shutter speed to let in more light.

Finally, the show must go on when dealing with difficult subjects. It can be frustrating when a subject is uncooperative or doesn't show up for the shoot. In these cases, try to find ways to adapt your shoot. You could switch to a different location or find a new subject to photograph.

In conclusion, the phrase "the show must go on" is just as relevant to photographers as it is to performers. As a photographer, you will encounter challenges and setbacks, but it's important to persevere and find ways to work around them. By doing so, you may even end up with a shot that is better than what you originally planned.

Conclusion - Preplan well and get ready for all unforeseen situations while shooting. This is the only option you have to survive successfully in the world of photography Keep experimenting! Have a wonderful photography life to you.
