Powerful PERSPECTIVE creates Powerful PHOTOGRAPHY

Prasenjeet Gautam

What is perspective in photography?

A perspective plays a major role in photography, holding your viewers for a long time on a single image. A perspective means a strong sense of DEPTH and spatial relationship between an object with an image. Photographers shoot a two-dimensional image and create a three-dimensional scene and create a strong sense of depth. A strong perspective creates a better image, and better powerful compositions, and holds your viewer so along. One must work on it.

As per my knowledge, there are a few types of powerful perspectives which might have given strong a composition, and a strong sense of depth to your image.

Linear Perspective

Converging lines to show the depth in a frame means Two parallel and feel like meeting at a vanishing point. It's quite a common perspective in photography. You just have seen so many images of the two roads meeting at the horizon.

Overlap perspective

Any layers or several layers are visible in your frame and overlap each other called overlap perspective. greater the layer and greater the sense of depth and strong composition,

Diminishing scale perspective

It's quite simple, How we view natural things with our naked eyes, a Closer subject will appear larger, the farther subject will appear small. How you capture both the things in your image is called diminishing scale perspective. Wide angle lenses make closer subjects appear much larger in the frame, which greatly increases the scale between close and far subjects.

Forced perspective

When your framing compresses the image, create a distance and relationship between foreground and background, creating the foreground closer and more interesting. Experiment with the large aperture.

Atmospheric or Aerial perspective

How you create play with the natural light to create a strong sense when light travel through the entire atmostphere and its content then feel the light in two different ways. Must understand how light and colours move on together, natural elements like fog, and clouds and create a strong sense of depth.

  • First, closer subjects appear darker and farther subjects appear lighter (like mountain layers, with the farthest layers being lighter)
  • Second, all colour waves will fade as they expand farther out in an image, except for white.

Just imagine how the scene will look more beautiful when shadows, lights, and mountain layers exist together in your frame.

Conclusion - Choose one perspective a day and keep experimenting with all the perspectives gradually

Keep experimenting and Have wonderful and happy photography life to you all
