Maximise the focus & Minimise the Distraction

Prasenjeet Gautam

I hope, most of the photographer must be facing lots of distraction while choosing Photography as a career. Lots of better option must have given at that time as a better career option, lots of negatives option must have given us as an example for photography. I must tell you that distraction and focus are the two side of one single coin. It keeps following you throughout your life, Now it is your wish to choose, either choose focus or distraction.

The word distraction always deviate you from your target, object, and sometimes your photography genres. Let’s discuss these two words distraction and focus and which will help you more to grow more as a photographer.

Distraction Vs Focus

Most people always distract you to choose the photography genres as per your choice like you are looking forward to becoming a travel photographer and they always suggest you to choose wedding photography. Never allow other people to choose photography genres on your behalf.

Most people always give you negative feedback about a photography career and always suggest you find another profession stream. Sometimes it is unbearable and tough to make them understand your passion. But choose your passion as per your choices not by other choices.

People always compare photography career with other profession’s advantages like money-wise, relaxation in the job, fewer advantages etc. But every career has advantages and disadvantages, No profession is always perfect and recently I have heard that few Doctors left their profession and choose photography as a career. But you choose your focus and be stick with your focus and get ready to perform successfully.

Now the Pro photographer also distracts the beginner photographer sometimes about photography like too much competition, equipment is too much expensive, marketing is very tough etc. But always listen to your heart and shoot as much as you can to be a better photographer.

Even some of the pro institute also distract student like there is lot of investment involved in the photography, lots of editing skills are required, expensive camera & lenses are required for better photography and if your parent can afford all the expenses then you must enter in the world of photography.

Conclusion – There are people always behind you to distract you but you have to stick with your focus, your goal, your passion etc but, do what you feel to do, photography career may be having negative aspect for others but Never ever dishearten yourself even some people never trust GOD too because of their atheist attitude. OUR JOB TO TO FOCUS ON OUR PASSION RATHER THAT CONVINCING OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT OUR PASSION. There are people who will never be satisfied with you, your answer, your passion ever. Leave them and start shooting, let your photographs answer them in a better. Every legend faces too much distraction but they were stuck with their passion

Keep experimenting! Have wonderful and happy photography to you all
