GO for Architectural Photography

Prasenjeet Gautam

What is architectural photography? - In the simple language, capturing buildings, monuments, glass facades, staircases, doors, balconies etc. Even the smallest part of a building is called architectural photography. On the other hand, It's also known as interiors and exteriors photography

(visit my website - https://www.prasenjeetgautam.com/interiors-exteriors). now it is the photographer's job to create a story through the building, historical monuments etc

How to start & explore - There are end numbers of buildings surrounding your location for example corporate buildings. government building, historical monuments (Forts, Tourist places, Archaeological parks, old design buildings) You can shoot end number of times, in different weather conditions, morning time, evening time, rain etc

Few tips to follow

Carry less equipment to shoot, and avoid many lenses, and tripods, which can cause you a problem. Due to security reasons, you are not allowed filming equipment. They may ask you for legal permission and can ask you to pay a high amount of charges to carry all the equipment.

Never try to break the building rules and regulations. Follow all the rules very nicely. Following rules helps you a lot.

Please never try to shoot any government building, defence building, police station, fire station etc. Shoot all these buildings with legal permission or with a humble request. otherwise, you and your camera may be in trouble.

Try to add people to the frame. This tip will enhance the beauty of your story or create better stories.

Look for those buildings / monuments / that can be shoot without permission. No entry charges or very nominal entry charges. Where photography is allowed. Those locations must be near your home location so that you can shoot the same building many times for better photography experiences.

Conclusion - No property is allowed to shoot without the property owner's permission, It may be an offence. Please do not take any chance which may put you behind bars and other legal problems. Shoot carefully or avoid those buildings.

Keep experimenting! Have a wonderful and happy photography life you all.
